The Wizard, greatest movie of all time?
The tides have turned, the will of god has been done. "The Wizard" starring Fred Savage has been released on DVD. Mankind has strived to tell the story that defines the struggle of humanity: Homer's "The Iliad", Shakespeare's "Macbeth", Hemingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls", but they all fall short of the 1989 film about a kid's struggle to get to the nintendo world championship's in Los Angeles. Like the manifest destiny of our country's heritage, three youngsters struggle to get to California in search of the glory of the video armageddon title. With great quotes like "I love the power glove, it's so bad". and "I can't believe you got 50,000 points on double dragon", the film's dialogue provides the focal point for our character's yearning to have something more. What a tremendous movie.
