Manish Malhotra’s Fashion Show at FICCI FRAMES 2009. I showcased a saree with a velevet blouse last week, there are a few more with different treatments.
I like both of these for different reasons. I like the Azure and lime green color combo, I even like the puffy sleeves, but I am not sure about the lime green cuffs. I think I know why he did it that way, but I just think that by the time you get to the wrist, the color continuity is somewhat lost and then having a strip of lime green color is kind of distracting and looks more like an appendage than an integral design element. The second saree is a classic Malhotra design, nothing much to complain about of praise about there.
