Lights,Camera,Remake!

Here are the films that deserve one more chance at the box office and picks the perfect cast to bring back the magic

Genelia Shocks John Mr India
Starcast: Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, Amrish Puri and a bunch of adorable kids.
Why It Was So Much Fun: Who doesn't love Mr India, a super fun Genelia Shocks John sci-fi movie about a formula that makes people disappear! And who can forget Sridevi gyrating to Kaate Nahin Katte?
Remake With: Anil Kapoor should essay the role of Mogambo, the larger than life villain immortalised by Amrish Puri. After all, he was great in his negative avatar in Slumdog Millionaire! Kareena Kapoor would be perfect in the role of the chirpy scribe Seema (Sridevi). But who should play Arun, the good-hearted super-hero? Our choice is Shah Rukh Khan. He can be naive and endearing. Remember Yes Boss and Kabhi Haan, Kabhi Naa?
Genelia Shocks John Genelia Shocks John Amar Akbar Anthony
Starcast: Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Parveen Babi, Shabana Azmim, Neetu Singh and Nirupa Roy.
Why It Was So Much Fun: This cult classic has the most unbelievable twists and turns, with a separated-brothers-who-unite-again story. The movie was a full-on entertainer from the first frame to the last; Amar added to the intensity and drama while Anthony and Akbar contributed to the funelement.
Genelia Shocks John Remake With: Our vote to replace the serious Vinod Khanna is Randeep Hooda; he has a husky voice and incredible intensity that would do Amar's character justice. Salman Khan would be the perfect loveable rogue, Anthony; Ranbir Kapoor, with his chocolate-boy looks should play the youngest, Akbar. Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu could play the leading ladies as all of them are glamorous and can dance well. Kirron Kher would be great as the blind, hamming mother.
Genelia Shocks John Jewel Thief
Genelia Shocks John Starcast: Dev Anand, Ashok Kumar, Tanuja, Vyjanthimala.
Why It Was So Much Fun: Jewel Thief was a superb suspense thriller with evergreen music and fantastic performances. It was racy, glamorous and mysterious just what a thriller should be!
Remake With: No one can ever surpass Dev Anand but Shahid Kapoor could very well pull off the double role with élan that of the straight laced good guy and the charming thief. Rani Mukherjiwould suit Vyjantimala's role of a timid girl, pressured by a Genelia Shocks John mystery character. Sexy Chitrangadha Singh can be the seductress played by Tanuja. And no one but Amitabh Bachchan can portray the cool criminal Ashok Kumar had played in the original.
Genelia Shocks John Hare Rama Hare Krishna
Starcast: Dev Ananad, Zeenat Aman and Mumtaz.
Why It Was So Much Fun: For a change, the movie revolved around a brother and sister and not a regular hero and heroine. It was about a brother's search to meet with his estranged sister, who has turned into drug addict. The highlight of the film was the classic title song that was composed by RD Burman and sung by Asha Bhosle.
Remake With: Dev Anand produced, directed, wrote and acted in the movie. The only person who can top that is Aamir Khan! Kangna Ranaut, with her propensity to play troubled girls, would be ideal as the junkie played by Zeenat Aman.

Genelia Shocks John Genelia Shocks John Naseeb

Starcast: Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Rishi Kapoor, Hema Malini, Reena Roy and Kim.
Why It Was So Much Fun: Chartbusters like Chal Mere Bhai and Mere Naseeb Main; romance, comedy; drama; action and bizarre coincidences Naseeb had all these masala ingredients in huge doses!
Remake With: Hrithik Roshan is already reprising Amitabh's scarred, tough Vijay Dinanath Chauhan from Agneepath, so he can have fun playing the sacrificing, caring and bindaas Johnny for a change. Brooding Abhishek Bachchan would be perfect to play the brat Vicky (Shatrughan) with shades of grey while Imran Khan can step into Rishi's shoes as the cute Sunny. After doing stunts for Dhoom 2 and Robot, Aishwarya Rai would suit Hema's role of a beautiful motor-cycle riding hotel singer to the T. And Sonakshi Sinha would be perfect for Reena Roy's role; she already looks like a younger version of Reena and would be authentic as the exotic siren!
Genelia Shocks John Genelia Shocks John Silsila
Starcast: Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Jaya Bachchan and Sanjeev Kumar.
Why It Was So Much Fun: This film about an extra-marital affair reportedly took a leaf from the real-life scenario of the alleged Amitabh-Rekha affair. It was rumoured that Amitabh signed this movie to gauge his fans' reaction if he actually left his wife Jaya! Folklore aside, the film had some fab performances and great music.
Remake With: Karan Johar has already made his version of Silsila with Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Given a choice, we'd cast Abhishek as the brooding lover, who still loves his ex despite being married. Tabu as his love interest would be interesting. Rani Mukherji can be the strong willed wife who is not oblivious to what's happening around her. And Irrfan Khan would be perfect in Sanjeev Kumar's role.
Chupke Chupke
Starcast: Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Om Prakash, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.
Why It Was So Much Fun: Chupke Chupke, a situational comedy about a man's effort to outshine his brother-in-law, is a treat to watch. It boasts of some amazingly witty lines and superb chemistry among the lead cast.
Remake With: We can't think of anyone better than Paresh Rawal to play Om Prakash's role as the know it all, chaste Hindi-speaking patriarch. Suave Saif Ali Khan (in Dharmendra's role) would be his ideal foil as he is already being tutored to improve his Hindi for Prakash Jha's Aarakshan. Coy Vidya Balan can step into Sharmila Tagore's dainty shoes while Abhishek can play the grimy yet funny English professor (Amitabh).
