It was going to be an unfortunate clash of the titans, now fortunately averted. Sajid Khan's Housefull 2 was going to be released on the same day as Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger on June 1.In a flash-decision taken on Tuesday evening, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has now decided to release his film on April 5, two months in advance.
"It's a decision based purely on the heart, not on commerce. Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan are like brothers. There was no way Sajid would clash with Salman at the box-office. Sajid thought it better to prepone than postpone Housefull 2. However, it couldn't be moved back by just a few weeks since there are other biggies lined up in the weeks preceding Ek Tha Tiger. So Sajid has moved back by two months," says a source close to Nadiadwala.
And never mind if this means Housefull 2 would now have to be completed on a war footing.
