I always thought that Bhindi Baazar was where they sold vegetables, like Bhindi; but apparently the origin of the name is that the British residing to the south of Crawford Market in the fort area referred to this area to the north of Crawford Market as “Behind the Bazaar” the natives picked this as “Bhindi Bazaar”.
And of course, Bhindi Baazaar Inc., the company that Caterina is posing for, has nothing to do with Bhindi Baazar!
Although it is not clear from these pictures, but Bhindi Bazzar Inc., is more about jewelery and less about the crowded market behind the Bazaar.
